Sam Raimi Could Shoot Spiderman Sequals in Detroit

Metro Detroit native Sam Raimi has reportedly signed on to once again direct Tobey Maguire in Spiderman 4 and 5. Sony studios are planning on have Raimi shoot both the fourth and fifth installments of the franchise at the same time. Could Detroit land this double production? After all, Metro Detroit is Raimi's home town where he once had a film office. Also, the name of Raimi's production company is called Renaissance Pictures which is named after the late 1970's completion of the tallest building in Detroit, The Renaissance building (now the GM Headquarters.)

If Michigan's favorite son, Raimi was to bring the double production to Metro Detroit and utilize the state's new tax incentives, it would be the biggest production ever in the history of this state (excess of 300 million for both pictures) and would be a boon to the local economy.
