A plant off of I-94 in Ypsilanti, which once had one of the most visible Ford Motor Company signs in the world proudly displayed atop of it’s roof just less then nine years ago, a plant that was built by Henry Ford himself (and still has the original floors that he personally had installed), is now being considered as a porn studio for Vivid Entertainment and Larry Flint’s Hustler Video (which will qualify for Michigans 42% movie tax credits.) Will this be a horrible PR move for the already battered tax credit or a perfect display of revitalization for Southeast Michigan?

The movie was partially funded under Michigan’s film incentive program, which refunds up to 42 percent of production costs. Last month, New Castle became the first company to receive money under the state program that began April 2008.
