			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>50 Cent&#8217;s movie company Cheeta Vision Films has inked a deal with Action Jackson Films to produce and finance 3-5 major films a year.  The first planned movie is titled <em><strong>The Gun</strong></em> which was written by 50 himself. The movie will star <strong>50 Cent</strong> and <strong>Val Kilmer</strong> (who have both shot a movie in West Michigan in recent months). Shooting will begin <a href="http://www.rapbasement.com/50-cent/111709-50-cent-signs-movie-deal-starring-in-the-gun.html"   style="color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;">next month in Grand Rapids, Michigan</a> with Jesse Terro directing.</p>
<p>50 and Cheetah Vision&#8217;s next project after <em>The Gun</em> will be a familiar drama, <strong><em>Jekyll and Hyde</em></strong> which will star <strong>Forest Whitaker</strong>.</p>

The movie is set to co-star Acadamey Award winning actor <strong>Forest Whittaker</strong>.</p>
<p><a title="Tribes of October"  href="http://www.mlive.com/entertainment/grand-rapids/index.ssf/2009/06/caught_in_the_crossfire_starri.html"   style="color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;">Mlive is also reporting</a> that the Cinepro Pictures CGI action film <strong><em>Tribes of October;</em></strong> starring Ray Stevenson, Robert Duvall and James Caan; will likely film inside the Grand Rapids convention center DeVos Place in August.</p>
<p>The new Rob Reiner coming of age movie <strong><em><a title="Flipped"  href="http://www.mlive.com/news/ann-arbor/index.ssf/2009/06/rob_reiner_movie_flipped_will.html"   style="color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;">Flipped</a></em></strong><a title="Flipped"  href="http://www.mlive.com/news/ann-arbor/index.ssf/2009/06/rob_reiner_movie_flipped_will.html"   style="color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;"> will be using Ann Arbor schools property for it&#8217;s production his summer</a>. In total, the film company is paying the district more than $30,000 for use of several sites and custodial services.</p>
<p><strong>Specs Howard School of Broadcasting</strong> is taking on film production with a new training program that <a title="Specs Howard Film School"  href="http://www.detnews.com/article/20090611/BIZ/906110369/1001/Southfield-s-Specs-Howard-plans-film-training"   style="color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;">pairs the school up with noted full-scale Metro Detroit production studio <strong>Grace &amp; Wild</strong></a>.</p>
<p><strong>Oakland University</strong> in Rochester Michigan will be adding this fall <a title="Oakland University"  href="http://oaklandpostonline.com/read_article.php?id=1318"   style="color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;">a major in Cinema Studies and a minor in Graphic Design</a>.</p>

<p>This weekend a <a href="http://www.mlive.com/news/flint/index.ssf/2009/06/civil_war_film_to_start_produc.html"   style="color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;">film crew will start shooting in Genesee Township outside of Flint, Michigan</a> for a National Park Service movie on the 1862 Civil War Battle of Corinth (fought about 20 miles from the famous Battle of Shiloh.)</p>
<p><a title="MoTown Movie Studios"  href="http://www.wxyz.com/content/news/movies/story/Motown-Motion-Picture-Studio-Unveiled/tOsFE8rlbk2hIvbH70GwWw.cspx"   style="color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;color: #8B0000; text-decoration:none;">WXYZ Detroit has the first look at the new <strong>MoTown Motion Picture Studio</strong></a> opening up later this year in a former GM Plant in Pontiac Michigan.  The 7 sound stage studio is expected to bring in over 3,000 permanent and over 10,000 support positions to Southeast Michigan.  They also stated in the news piece that Steven Spielberg is looking to shoot an upcoming movie at the vacancy Pontiac Silverdome.</p>
