East Lansing native screenwriter/producer Fred Foote talks to MLive Flint about his upcoming movie Alleged, which is currenlty shooitng at Crossroads Village in Flint.
“Right now it’s a great, exciting, thrilling educational challenge — but how I’ll feel a year from now is yet to happen. So the production of the upcoming Fred Thompson and Brian Dennehy movie Alleged was in full swing today at Crossroads Village in Flint. The movie is set in the 1920s during the famous Scopes Monkey Trial. The Flint Journal was on hand as well as the local ABC 12 Flint station were all on hand to get the scoop.

Location filming is set to begin Thursday at a period home in downtown Flint for Alleged, a upcoming feature-length film about the historic Scopes Monkey Trial. Written by East Lansing native Fred Foote, Alleged will be directed by Tom Hines and star actors Brian Dennehy and Fred Thompson. The production is expected to last about 20 days, with scenes being shot inside the old Clayton Township Hall at Crossroads Village in Flint, where the majority of the filming will take place over the next few weeks. According to Mlive.com, actors Brian Dennehy and Fred Thompson have signed on for two of the leading roles in Alleged, a new movie on the historic Scopes Monkey Trial being shot at Crossroads Village in Flint starting Sept. 14. This well be the second movie that both Dennehy and Thompson have shot in Michigan since the passing of the Michigan Film Incentives. Last year Dennehy worked on the upcoming Meet Monica Velour, while Thompson is currently shooting the The Genesis Code in Grand Rapids.
