The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations is now out on DVD.  This movie was shot in Metro Detroit last fall using the new Michigan Film Tax Incentives, and is the latest installment of the Buttrerfly Effect film series made famous by actor Ashton Kutcher.  Though Buterfly Effect 3 never made it to the big screen, it’s direct-to-DVD release has the potential to make sizable profits due to the high demand for horror films in the DVD rental market.  This has been the case for such other noted Detroit made horror movies as The Evil Dead, In the Woods, Mr. Jingles, Mosquito, Rachel’s Attic and the Northville Cemetery Massacre.
