A theatrical motion picture based on the hit 1960s Big Valley television series will start filming next April in the film tax incentive rich states of Michigan and New Mexico. Big Valley will be produced by Kate Edelman Johnson, and directed and adapted by renowned filmmaker Daniel Adams from the classic Louis F. Edelman TV Show.

Chris Coppola, adjunct professor of film at Madonna University in Livona, talked about prepare for the coming new media renaissance at yesterday’s Michigan Makes Movies Expo at in Novi. A long time indy filmmaker, Coppola is the brother of Nicolas Cage and nephew of Francis Ford Coppola. Coppola’s PAH Fest – MoTown (Project Accessible Hollywood) citizen film training and festival is taking place at Madonna all this week.
Also yesterday at a downtown Utica charity event called “Dreamin’ Big“, many believe this man was actor Robert De Niro in disguise. The event was hosted by the local production company Mirror Dog Productions which just happen to be developing a local feature length film called Fair Chase which is set to star De Niro.
