MMM Goes On-Location with “Stone” & “The Irishmen”

A local production must read Michigan Movie Magazinei has posted some key photos and part of their article on the final weeks of shooting of the upcoming Edward Norton, Robert DeNiro flick Stone. Stone has been shooting all over Michigan the last few months including Jackson and Dexter.

Also on the cover of this month’s issue is a first look at the Detroit made movie The Irishman (staring Christopher Walken, Val Kilmer and Ray Stevenson) so you should start thinking about subscribing today.

Michigan Production Update – May 24, 2009

Drew Barrymore’s directorial Michigan made debut Whip It  has a theatrical release date of October 9.

Mob flick The Irishmanwhich is set to star Christopher Walken, Val Kilmer and Ray Stevenson, will be shooting in around Metro Detroit this summer in connection with the Ferndale based S3 Studios. WXYZ has more:
 

Jennifer Connelly and Liam Neeson are set to star upcomign drama What’s Wrong with Virginia in Michigan. Dustin Lance Black (”Milk”) will make his directorial debut while West Michigan based private investment firm Brooks Capital Management, LLC will finance the project.

Discovery Channel’s Monster Garage will be setting up shop in Detroit for six months this summer as it films the next session of the popular reality TV show.

Finally the trailer for the Michigan made James B. Rogers’ comedy Demoted is now up online.
