A independent movie producer is currently scouting out Grand Rapids for his new movie Hopeful Notes. Recently the upcoming Val Kilmer suspense thriller The Steam Experiment was rewritten to feature Grand Rapids landmarks.
The movie revolves around six people trapped and terrorized in an urban Turkish bathhouse. Kilmer plays a former university professor who overheats his hostages to prove that humans will self destruct under the pressures of global warming. He tells detective (Armand Assante) that their location will be revealed if his hypothesis is printed on a paper’s front-page.
The six victims are pro football player (Eric Roberts), actress (Megan Brown), nurse (Patrick Muldoon), waitress (Eve Mauro), restaurateur (Quinn Duffy) and writer (Cordelia Reynolds). As temperatures rise, the desperate detainees fight to survival.
